Arrival Day

Commence your adventure with a Malaga pick-up, then embark on a picturesque journey to Guadix (300 kms by car). Ascend to the charming heights of Guadix at 1000m elevation, paving the way for a thrilling descent toward the coastal allure of Malaga. Your first night unfolds in a beautifully transformed finca, where rustic elegance meets modern comfort.

Guadix to Granada

Pedal through the enchanting Andalusian landscapes, transitioning from the historic charm of Guadix to the vibrant heart of Granada. Your evening’s refuge will be a stylish Cortijo, harmonizing traditional aesthetics with contemporary luxuries.

Total Distance: 60kms

Granada – Alhambra visit

Immerse yourself in the echoes of history with a guided exploration of the majestic Alhambra Palace. Following this cultural odyssey, retreat to a newly constructed hotel nestled on a mountainside, where breathtaking views and opulent amenities await.

Granada to Loja

Pedal your way through serene countryside to Loja. Here, your abode will be a modern Cortijo, enveloped in tranquility and adorned with warm hospitality.

Loja to Antequera

Traverse the rolling hills toward Antequera, famed for its ancient dolmens. Your evening’s sanctuary is a lovingly refurbished finca, exuding a cozy yet refined atmosphere.

Antequera to El Chorro, Málaga

Journey onward to El Chorro, the gateway to the iconic Caminito Del Rey. Unwind at a mountainside hotel offering sweeping vistas and exemplary amenities. Total Distance: 40-50kms

Walk and Caminito Del Rey

Conclude your odyssey with an invigorating stroll along the renowned Caminito Del Rey. Celebrate the finale of your adventure in style at a luxurious hotel in Malaga, complete with sumptuous pool, rejuvenating you with and stunning panoramas.

We’ve just returned from an unforgettable cycling holiday in Andalusia, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organised—not only did we enjoy an amazing experience, but the team genuinely cared about our safety and comfort every step of the way.
What I especially appreciated was the option of e-bikes, which gave us that extra boost of power when needed—and I certainly made good use of it on the hilly terrain!
Our guides Chris, Paul, and Sam were fantastic company—always friendly, helpful, punctual, and full of humour. Riding alongside Chris, an ex-professional athlete and active fitness coach, was a real highlight. Learning from his experience while cycling through such stunning landscapes made the trip even more special.
The accommodation was carefully chosen, each place offering comfort, style, and local charm. After a day of cycling, it was such a treat to relax in first-class hotels and enjoy delicious local cuisine. Every detail was thought of—even the thoughtful surprise gifts that made us feel truly looked after.

I’m 73 yrs with arthritis and have had limited mobility for the past 10 years. I recently took to the e-bike for exercise.
When my sister asked me to join her I didn’t hesitate when I saw how supported the holiday was.
I have now left the couch behind for fresh air and open roads.
It was exhilarating doing 53 km on the fantastic downhills.
The holiday has given me back enthusiasm for activity.

Having enjoyed 5 cycle holidays in the last 8 years ( and 4 horse riding trail rides ) in Italy Portugal USA Japan and Spain the Toro Blanco Andalucian trip goes straight to the top of the list .
I felt the support given by the team was second to none and with Chris and others being bilingual nothing gets lost in translation.
I loved that everyone meets for an evening meal together which helped nurture team spirit whether one has come by oneself or as a couple or with a few .
The wonderfully characterful Spanish hotels were an added bonus.
It was refreshing that there were optional activities on offer such as the Caminito del rey and the Alhambra experience making this a very appealing holiday .

This holiday surpassed anything I could've dreamt of - fabulous guides, wonderful guided cycling, amazing luxury hotels (and food!), great walks .... and relaxation by the pool too!

The team had planned everything to the last degree, comfort and safety being paramount, and then they had some super surprises for us along the way too.

Having not ridden a bike for 40+ years, I set myself a challenge, got an exercise bike to practice on, tried a few e-bikes ...and completed over 100 miles during our week. Andalucia is a gorgeous area to ride through - there's something about being in the fresh air while looking at stunning views that you just don't feel from a car.

If you're considering a holiday with Toro Blanco Active Holidays, I'd definitely say go for it! Chris will answer any of your concerns or questions (I had many!).

I'm really missing the lovely guides and four super fellow travellers alike ..

It was fantastic. The service provided was well above the industry standard by miles. The culture, comfort, cuisine and adventure made it unforgettable. With our safety and enjoyment as the top priority for the team in an all inclusive holiday it meant we could relax and not have to think about planning, routes, bikes, food or hotels and much more that goes into these holidays. Would recommend to anyone as the team caters to all abilities via the use of optional e-bikes and two safety cars on route, one at the front, and one at the back, as well as multiple team leaders on bikes actually doing the whole tour. Thanks to the team, made up of pro-athletes, sports scientists, and a lot of dedication to serve the clients needs, it made this guided tour one of a kind, pioneering a way forward above all the rest. 5 stars.

I have been on a number of cycling holidays with the ‘big’ travel companies and Toro Blanco Active Holidays top the lot. We have just finished the Vuelta de Andalusia and the professionalism that went into the planning and execution of the trip was second to none. Nothing was left to chance by Chris and his team. I loved every minute.

Everything about our holiday was handled very professionally by the Toro Blanco crew. The hotels were top class and very special. Some of the routes were a bit challenging but doable by an 80 year old! I would certainly recommend Toro Blanco for a great cycling holiday.

As one of the latest guides to join Toro Blanco Active Holidays, I can honestly say that I have never seen a holiday like this that contains so many different amazing locations and is completely all inclusive. From the time of arrival to and from the airport, you can enjoy the whole holiday without spending a penny.

This is what separates Toro Blanco from every other active holiday out there! Other than clients having a great time, safety is the biggest priority. The clients have access to full guidance whilst cycling from people who are fully trained and equipped to deal with any situation.

It is truly an unforgettable experience and I urge people to come and see for themselves. The last tour had people age ranged between 20s and 80s, so as long as you can ride a bike, anyone can do it!

What are the hotel standards?
All hotels are four-star. We also try to provide you with a balcony and a mountain view whenever possible. We have very good relationships with all the hotels and their managers that we use throughout the tours.
Yes, we have road and gravel bikes in your size as well as 500 W e-bikes to choose from. We even provide a bike fit on day one of the tour to ensure you’re comfortable and happy with the setup. This is especially important for those who have not ridden a lot in the past.

A briefing is given at the end of each day to discuss the day ahead. Normally, there’s a leisurely breakfast between eight and ten, and we will leave from the hotel or nearby each morning.

Once you’ve contacted us with your interest in a holiday and selected the tour date, we will take a deposit. We can then work out a flexible payment plan in instalments over the proceeding months, or you always have the option to pay in full.

All vehicles are equipped with emergency first aid, and all guides are trained to the highest level in first response, countryside, and emergency first aid. We have go-bags in each of the vehicles in case something were to occur.
